Nov. 15, 2006

Contact: Josh Rattray

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior Chris Dalman has once again been named the Horizon League Diver of the Week. Dalman, who is unbeaten in both the one- and three-meter dives after five meets this season, has captured the weekly honor four straight times dating back to Oct. 24. The league office made the announcement on Wednesday (Nov. 15).

Dalman wins the award this week after tying his own league-best mark of 365.00 in the one-meter dive on Saturday (Nov. 11) against Wright State. He previously posted a 365.00 on the one-meter boards the previous night in the Cleveland City College Meet. He also won the three-meter dive against the Raiders with a mark of 364.95.

"Chris is one of the top divers in the country and we're proud to have him on the team," head coach Wally Morton said. "He is a person who puts the team first ahead of personal accomplishment, and his getting this award is in a way an accomplishment for our team."

Dalman has helped the Vikings to a 7-1 start with a 1-1 mark against Horizon League opponents. CSU has this weekend off before hosting Ohio State on Tuesday Nov. 21 at 5:00 p.m.
