Rutgers Finishes In Top 20 At Ohio Open

CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio - Senior Mike Rutgers posted a final-round 72 to finish tied for 19th at the 83rd Ohio Open Championship on Wednesday (July 26). Danny Sahl defeated Tony Mollica on the first playoff hole to claim the title at Little Mountain Country Club in Concord Township.

Sahl and Mollica both finished the three-day, 54-hole event at 6-under par (204). Nick Lambos and Alex Martin tied for low amateur honors at one-under (209), just two strokes ahead of Rutgers.

Rutgers is in the midst of the best summer of his career, having previously won the Northeast Ohio Amateur Invitational title in June.
