Men's Golf Finishes 15th At Belmont Invitational

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The Cleveland State men's golf team remained in 15th place after the final round of the Belmont Invitational. The Vikings put together a 305 on Tuesday and a 916 for the three rounds. Missouri ran away from the 17-team field with an 824 -- 35 shots clear of runner-up Tennessee Tech. The tournament was held at the par 71, 6,759 yard Legends Club. Missouri's Chris Mabry and Shawn Jasper finished one-two with scores of 199 and 203, respectively. Ben Grandy was CSU's top finisher, posting a 220 to finish tied for 32nd. Mike Rutgers fired a 70 -- the Vikings' best round of the tournament -- to move into a tie for 47th at 224. Cleveland State returns to the links when the Vikings host the Joe Cole Invitational on April 11-12 at Red Tail Golf Club in Avon, Ohio.
