Cleveland State Head Coach Gary Waters:
"I thought our guys executed our defensive gameplan and I thought they were highly disciplined on what we needed to do. This game was about defense and our young men worked hard to execute that."

"We shared the ball well as evidenced by our 27 assists. We are starting to play together as a team and the guys are learning that's how you have to play the game to be successful."

"We spent a lot of time over the last three days working against a zone and making an extra pass and I thought we did a good job of that today and really moved the ball well."

"I wanted to send a message that this is our home and we wanted to play well. All the good teams protect their home court and hold serve on the road. This team will compete and we hope to make this one of the tougher places to play in the country."

"We have been challenging the bench players to give us something every game. We are starting to define some roles for our bench players and they are accepting those roles and that will help even more down the stretch."

Cleveland State's Cedric Jackson:
"As a team, I think we played well, but there are a lot of things we could do better with. We shared the ball really well today."

"I don't think we did anything different on defense. We just pressured the ball and all five guys helped each other on the drives and dump downs. It was a total team effort today."

Cleveland State's George Tandy:
"I'm starting to get back in the flow and my timing is getting better. I am feeling a lot more comfortable."

"Its always good to go out and play well, but it feels real good to play well against Youngstown State since I grew up there."

"Our defense definatley leads to good offensive opportunities. If you could shut a guy down and get out in transition, it could lead to easy buckets."

Youngstown State Head Coach Jerry Slocum:
"When you shoot the ball like we shot the ball it leads to loss of confidence and breakdowns defensively and that's what happened tonight."

"They shot the ball very well tonight, but it's easy to shoot the ball that well when you get so many layups."

"No matter what we tried, nobody could put the ball in the basket and it led to some breakouts the other way. We didn't get a lift from our bench and it was a very poor basketball performance overall on our part."
