"Dom has been our most consistent hitter this season," head coach Jay Murphy said. "He has been an integral part of us playing better baseball in the past week. I'm glad to see that the league recognized his efforts."

Erney currently leads the Vikings in hitting (.339), home runs (7), RBI (27), slugging percentage (.578) and total bases (63). He is the first Cleveland State player to receive the award this season.
