CLEMSON, S.C. - The Clemson women's track and field team will compete at the Georgia Tech Invitational this Friday and Saturday, May 17-18, at the George C. Griffin Track in Atlanta. The meet will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with the javelin throw and conclude for the day after the women's 3000m race at 9:50 p.m. On Saturday, the meet resumes at 2:30 p.m. with the women's hammer throw and concludes following the women's 4x400m relay scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m.

Clemson women's track and field has three athletes who have qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Senior Jamine Moton, from Glassboro, NJ, has automatically qualified in the hammer throw and shot put, and is a provisional qualifier in the discus throw. Senior Sheri Smith (Bronx, NY) has provisionally qualified in the triple jump, as has freshman Gisele Oliveira (Porte Alegre, Brazil). Junior Marcia Smith, a native of Decatur, GA, as well as freshman Jackie Hudgins (Hightstown, NJ) look to qualify for this year's Championships with a solid performance in Atlanta.
