SACRAMENTO, CA - Clemson's Gisele Oliveira qualified for the finals of the triple jump at the NCAA Championships on Friday night at Hornet Stadium in the A.G. Spanos Sports Complex on the campus of Sacramento State University. The senior from Porto Alegre, Brazil, recorded a mark of 44'4" on her third attempt of the qualifying round to advance to the finals with the third-best mark of round one competition. Oliveira is in the hunt for her second NCAA crown, as she was the NCAA Indoor National Champion in the triple jump earlier this year. She entered the national outdoor meet with the top mark in the nation, a career-best effort of 45'9". The finals of the triple jump are scheduled for 9:30 PM ET on Saturday.

Fellow senior Silja Ulfarsdottir completed her Clemson career on Friday evening in the semifinals of the 400m hurdles. The native of Reykjavic, Iceland, finished 12th in the second round of the intermediate hurdles with a time of 57.78. Ulfarsdottir is the Lady Tigers' all-time leader in the event with her career-best time of 56.62 set at this year's ACC Championships.
