GAINESVILLE, FL - The Clemson women's track and field team completed competition at the Florida Relays held this weekend at the University of Florida's Percy Beard Track and Field Complex. Three Lady Tigers qualified for the East Region Championships in the 400m hurdles. Silja Ulfarsdottir led the Lady Tiger hurdlers with a seventh-place finish and time of 58.98, while Shakirah Rutherford was 11th in 1:00.11 and Christina Smith was 16th out of the field of 40 with her time of 1:00.44.

In the 100m dash, Jessica Cousins recorded a time of 12.17, while Randi Hinton crossed the finish line with a time of 12.22. In the 200m dash, Randi Hinton finished in 24.09 and Jessica Cousins posted a time of 24.43. Patrice McMillan led the Lady Tigers in the 800m, clocking a time of 2:14.13, and Sudati Masasu completed the 800m race in 2:15.25. In the 100m hurdles, Jelyn Quick posted a time of 14.27. The Lady Tigers' 4x200m relay team of Jessica Cousins, Silja Ulfarsdottir, Danielle Whaley and Christina Smith finished the race in sixth place with a time of 1:36.44. Clemson fielded two teams in the 1600m sprint medley relay, as the team of Jessica Cousins, Randi Hinton, Patrice McMillan and Silja Ulfarsdottir finished seventh with a time of 3:59.13. Katrina Moultrie, Marquita Dortch, Jelyn Quick and Michelle Rogers finished the race in 4:09.62. Clemson's distance medley relay team of Sudati Masasu, Patrice McMillan, Casey Phillips and Silja Ulfarsdottir combined to clock a 12:02.63 and finish fifth overall.
 

 

In the field events, Katie Pickett cleared 5'4.25" in the high jump and Sara Young recorded a mark of 11'7.75" in the pole vault. Michelle Rogers competed in the triple jump, posting a mark of 37'3.25". In the javelin throw, Krystal Woods recorded a season-best throw of 122'7".

The Clemson women's track and field team will return to action on Saturday, April 3, as the Lady Tigers host the Clemson Invitational.
