AUSTIN, TX - Clemson men's track and field coach Bob Pollock was named the Southeast District Men's Coach of the Year by Mondo USA. Pollock earned the honor after leading the Tigers to the 2004 ACC Championship crown with a conference-record 224-point performance. The Tigers also placed fourth at the 2004 East Region Championships, and nine Tigers qualified to advance to the NCAA Championships. Pollock had previously been named ACC Outdoor Men's Track and Field Coach of the Year by a vote of the league's head coaches. He is in his 16th year at the helm of the Tiger cross country, track and field program. In that time, he has led Clemson to 21 ACC Championships and team appearances at the national meet each year he has been with the Tigers.
