FAYETTEVILLE, AR - Clemson's George Kitchens earned All-America honors in the long jump at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships held at the Randal Tyson Track Complex on Friday evening. The senior from Hephzibah, GA, is the first Tiger to earn two, let alone back-to-back, All-America certificates in the indoor event. Kitchens placed seventh with a mark of 25'3".
Joining Kitchens in day one action, fellow senior Ronald Richards competed in the preliminaries of the 60m dash. The native of Alexandria, VA, recorded a time of 6.75, but did not qualify for tomorrow's finals.
Clemson's Adam Linkenauger and Jason Bell will compete in the high jump and triple jump, respectively, on Saturday in the final day of the 2005 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
