High School All-American
1999-2000:
Led Clemson in the 55mH and 60mH indoors...won the 60mH at
the ACC Indoor Championships with a provisional qualifying time of
7.79...recorded the Tigers' second-best 60mH time of 7.82 at the NCAA
Indoor Championships...claimed the 55mH at the Gator Invitational with
an automatic qualifying time of 7.21...recorded a provisional time
13.86 in the 110mHH at the ACC Outdoor Championships...earned All-ACC
honors with a second place finish in the 110mHH... member of the
shuttle hurdle relay team that finished second in 55.47 at the Penn
Relays.
1998-99:
Earned All-America honors indoors after placing
sixth with a time of 7.86 in the 60m hurdles at the national
championships...won the ACC Championship with a time of 7.79 in the
60m hurdles indoors ...posted a season-best time of 7.75 at the U.S.
West Sprints to qualify for the national championships in the 60m
hurdles...won the 60m hurdles at five different meets during the
indoor season...won the ACC Championship in the 110m hurdles
outdoors, posting a time of 13.82...qualified for the national
championships in the event after placing second with a time of 13.73
at the Texas A&M Invitational...a member of the Clemson shuttle
hurdle relay team that posted a time of 55.90, the fastest time in
the nation that season... placed second in the shuttle hurdle relay
at the Penn Relays.
1997-98:
NCAA indoor qualifier in the 55m
hurdles...placed third in the 60m hurdles at the ACC Indoor
Championships with a time of 7.82...placed second in the 60m hurdles
at the Clemson Opener indoors (7.98)...was third in the 300m with a
time of 35.34 at the Clemson Opener indoors...won the 60m hurdles
with a time of 8.01 at the Clemson Invitational indoors... placed
fourth in the 200m at the same meet...tied for second in the 55mH at
the ACC/SEC Challenge (7.27)...finished eighth in the 110m high
hurdles at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a time of 14.20...
placed second in the 110mHH (14.03) at the Clemson Relays...was
second with a time of 14.09...a member of the shuttle hurdle relay
team that won the Sea Ray Relays with a time of 56.76...a member of
the shuttle hurdle relay team that posted a 55.27 to win the Penn
Relays...member of the shuttle hurdle relay that set a new school
record at the Orange and Purple Classic, running the nation's fastest
time at 54.90.
Delsea High School
Coached by Rick Schappell...broke the indoor state record in the 55mH
with a time of 7.23...was a state champion in the indoor 55mH,
finishing with a time of 7.32 during the 1996 season....was also the
state champion in 1995 in the hurdles with a time of 13.70...was
awarded the Men's Hurdler of the Year... also a winner of the Elias
Gilbert, Jr. Memorial Award at the East Coast Invitational ...All
South Jersey award recipent...was all-state in the hurdles in 1995
and 1996...finished fourth in the National Scholastic Championships
in the hurdles with a time of 13.66.
