Three Lady Bucs Named All-GSC

PENSACOLA, Fla.--Three Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs were named Second-Team All-Gulf South Conference Thursday night.

Junior forward Courtney Robertson (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley HS), junior midfielder Rachael Valenzuela (Lawrenceburg, Ind./East Central HS), and sophomore defender Jeanine Abell (Chattanooga, Tenn./Notre Dame HS) were all named to the All-GSC Second team by the league's coaches.

Robertson led the Lady Bucs (6-11, 1-7 GSC) with 25 points on 12 goals and an assist on the year, while Valenzuela added 18 points on seven goals and four assists. Abell solidified a CBU defense that had a 1.79 goals against average and posted three shutouts.

West Florida's Lindsey Nemanich and West Georgia's Alex Udin shared Co-Player of the Year honors, while Alabama-Huntsville's Ina Wam Bjorklid won the Freshman of the Year award. Harding's Greg Harris was named the GSC Coach of the Year for the third time in the last four years.
