Kristi Ansboury took a team-best three shots for CBU against Montevallo

Lady Falcons Top Lady Bucs 1-0

Sept. 29, 2006

Final Stats

MEMPHIS--Paula Radmard's 67th-minute goal was the only scoring as visiting Montevallo defeated the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs 1-0 Friday night at Signaigo Field.

The Lady Falcons (3-6, 1-2 Gulf South Conference) controlled play in the first half, out-shooting CBU 5-2, but they couldn't find the net in the first 45 minutes.

While the Lady Bucs (6-4, 1-1) held a 9-4 edge in shots for the second half, Radmard capitalized on a cross into the box from Catherine Honey for the game's only score.

Montevallo goalkeeper Corey Gros made five saves, all in the second half, to preserve the shutout for the Lady Falcons. CBU goalkeeper Christina Barone (Phoenix, Ariz./Cactus Shadows HS) made one save for the Lady Bucs.

CBU out-shot Montevallo 11-9 for the match, led by three shots from freshman Kristi Ansboury (Scottsdale, Ariz./Chaparral HS), two of which resulted in Gros saves.

The Lady Bucs will return to the field Sunday afternoon in Pensacola, Fla., as they take on No. 12 West Florida.
