Marwood Scores Two And Bucs Shut Out Delta State

Cleveland, MS- Chris Marwood had two goals leading the Christian Brothers University Buccaneer soccer team to a 6-0 victory over Delta State.

CBU (5-3-2, 2-0 GSC) out shot the Statesmen 31-2 in the match and didn't allow a single shot in the second half.

DSU (0-6, 0-2 GSC) had just two shots from Robert Brooks and Jacolby Tow.

Marwood had four shots and two goals. Nick Chantara had three shots and a goal, while Egill Thorolfsson, Brian McNamara and Harry Murphy each had two shots and a goal. Michael Vogel had four shots and Alan Whittington had an assist. Chad Rounder started in goal and earned his first win and shutout of the season.

The Bucs will come home this Friday, October 1 to play host to Montevallo at 7:30 p.m.
