Ilari Lifts Bucs Past Missouri-Rolla, 2-1

Rolla, MO – Mariano Ilari scored twice and Chad Rounder stopped eight shots in goal and the Christian Brothers University Buccaneer soccer team defeated Missouri-Rolla today 2-1.

CBU (2-1) was out shot 16-14, but made their shots count.

UMR (1-2) lost for the second time this season despite leading in almost every offensive category.

Ilari had a game-high five shots, including two goals. Kieran Wilson had four shots, three on goal, while Brad Whitsitt had two shots and an assist. Craid de Melo, Chris Marwood and Rasaq Kuteyi had a shot each.

The Bucs will be back in action tomorrow, September 4 when they take on Rockhurst at 3 p.m.
