Volleyball Team Sweep Grand Canyon Again

Honolulu, HI- Chaminade dominated once again tonight as the Volleyball team swept the Grand Canyon for the second night in a row. The score was as follows; game one, 30-22, game two, 30-18 and game three 30-23. Trina Kauliakamoa led the way with 14 kills and 7 digs, while standout freshman Samantha Miller continued her impressive freshman campaign with 9 kills and 9 digs. Another freshman, Tanya Alvino let the offense with 36 assists. Senior Evelyn Bluthenthal added 10 kills in the victory. Megan Toth led the way for Grand Canyon with 9 kills, while Audra Slemmer contributed 13 assists. The Silverswords out dug the Antelopes tonight 52 to 37. The victory moves the Silverswords 11-6 overall, 4-5 in the Pacific West Conference, while the loss for the Antelopes moves them to 7-15 overall, 2-7 in the Pacific West Conference. The Silverswords look to continue their hot streak this Friday night at McCabe Gym, when they take on the Rebels of Dixie State. First serve is set for 7:30 PM HT.
