Swords Volleyball Back on Winning Track

Belmont, CA- Chaminade is back in the win column. The Swords rallied this evening against the Argos of NDNU for a four game victory in Pac West conference action (27-30, 30-14, 30-23, 30-28).

The Swords came out and had all they could handle in game one, as the Argos won 30-27. Chaminade responded and throttled NDNU 30-14 in game two and finished the Argonauts off in four.

CUH was led by Trina Kauliakamoa (19 kills, 10 digs) and Samantha Miller with 13 kills and 14 digs. Chaminade was also tough defensively, with Chantelle Maduli (17 kills) leading the way as CUH out dug NDNU 67-56.

Tanya Alvino added 51 assists and Evelyn Bluthenthal added 15 kills in the win.

Ashley Fox led the way for NDNU with 10 kills (.529 %).

With the win, the Swords move to 9-4, 2-3 in the Pac West. NDNU falls to 6-13, 3-3 in conference play. The two teams meet again tomorrow night in Belmont. First serve is set for 7:00 PM PT.
