Swords Basketball Drops Game to Broncos of Cal-Poly Pomona

Fairbanks, AK- In the consolation game of the 2006 Mt. McKinley North Star Invitational, Chaminade fell to the Broncos of Cal-Poly Pomona by a score of 91-48.

Junior Brittnee Fonnesbeck again led Chaminade University in scoring, with 20 points to go along with 15 rebounds on the evening. Currently, Fonnesbeck is averaging 23.3 points per contest. Samantha Saito reached double figures for the second time in as many games, scoring 10 points to go along with 3 assists.

With the loss, the Swords fall to 0-3 on the year, while Cal-Poly Pomona improves to 1-1 overall.

Chaminade is back in action on Sunday, December 3rd at 12:00 PM for its home opener in McCabe Gym. The Swords will take on cross-town rival Hawaii Pacific, also in its first year of women's basketball
