Fonnesbeck Named First Team All-Pac-West

Gold Canyon, AZ- The results of the Pac West Conference vote are in. Four of Chaminade's inaugural women's basketball team earned honors. Fonnesbeck earned First Team All Pac West honors, finishing her season averaging 19.5 points per game, second in the Pac West. In addition to Fonnesbeck's scoring, she also averaged 9.8 rebounds per game, also second best in the conference. Three other players were named to honorable mention, freshman Samantha Saito and juniors Katherine Carlisle and Simrin Cummins. Cummins, Carlisle and Saito were the twelfth, fourteenth and twenty-first leading scorers in the conference. Saito was also the third in assists per game averaging 4.24 assists per game, coming in sixth on the assist to turnover ratio. All three players were in the top eleven for minutes played, each averaging more than thirty minutes a contest.
