Chaminade Women's Basketball Drops Second Game To Grand Canyon 94-63

Honolulu, HI- Chaminade fell for the second day in a row to conference powerhouse Grand Canyon University, 20-4 overall and 13-0 in conference play this afternoon 94-63. Despite a balanced offensive attack, that included four Silverswords turning double figures the `Lopes once again proved to be too much for the Swords to handle. Simrin Cummins, Katherine Carlisle and Marian Murphy all had 12 points each. Murphy shot 4-6 from behind the arc earning her all her points. Fonnesbeck added 10 points and 7 rebounds and Samantha Saito finished with 7 points and 5 assists. The `Lopes were led by Jennifer Cobb with 25 points and 9 rebounds. With the loss Chaminade falls to 3-17 and Grand Canyon improves to 20-4. The Swords are back in action against Notre Dame De Namur, Saturday afternoon February 17, 12:00 p.m. at McCabe Gym.
