Chaminade Men's Basketball Signs Demetrius Turner of LA Southwest

Honolulu, HI- Demetrius Turner is a Sword. The 6'4 guard out of Los Angeles, CA made it official today, signing with Chaminade after numerous opportunities from Division I and Division II schools. Turner was a standout as a freshman at Cerritos College in 2006-07 averaging 16.4 points and 3.8 rebounds for the year. He shot 38% from three and 77% from the free throw line. Demetrius, also known as DJ, was invited to Mullen's Top 120 JUCO showcase in Tulsa, OK this past summer. The sophomore wing currently plays under Coach Reggie Morris at LA Southwest College in Los Angeles, CA. Turner is ranked as the 54th best sophomore in the country in junior college according to rivals.com.
