CUH Men's Basketball Handles Dixie State 66-46
Jan. 5, 2008 Honolulu, HI- Pac West Conference play started with a 7-0 Dixie State run. After that, it was all Silverswords as Chaminade took a 31-17 into the break. The Swords dominated the glass, out-rebounding DSU 44-22, including 17 offensive. Rodrick Johnson had 13 rebounds, 10 of them in the first half to go along with 8 points. Marko Kolaric added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks in the post. Point guard Hayden Heiber added 12 points and 8 assists. The Swords shot 10-28 from the arc and had 19 assists on 25 baskets. Chaminade held Dixie State to 38% from the floor on the night. The Rebels were led by Kasey Winters with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Chaminade moves to 6-4, 1-0 with the win, Dixie State moves to 3-7, 0-2 with the loss. The Swords are back in action on January 5th against Dixie State. Game time is set for 7:30 PM at McCabe Gym. All Chaminade's contests the rest of the way are Pac West conference games.
