2007-08:Redshirt 2006-07: Started all 27 games for Chaminade, averaging 7.4 points per contest. Shot 38% from three, connecting on 48 on the year. Had a career high 15 points on Central College, also had 14 points against BYU-Hawaii on 2/3/07. West Valley College: A member of the state runner-up West Valley Vikings coached by Danny Yoshikawa. Darrell was named a first team All-State selection as well as First Team All Coast-South. Birton led West Valley in scoring, averaging 13.6 points per game, including 92 made three pointers. Had a career high 32 points against San Jose City College. In Birton's two years at West Valley the Vikings were 58-9. High School: Played for Coach Creighton Lane at Wilcox High in Santa Clara, CA. Was an all-league selection as a senior. Personal: Darrell was born on October 30, 1985 in San Jose, CA.
