Lady Swords Tennis Falls to HPU 8-1

Kailua, HI- Chaminade Women's Tennis opened the season this past weekend against cross-town rival Hawaii Pacific at Kailua Racquet Club. The Lady Swords started out strong, splitting with HPU in #1 and #2 singles. Audra Takara fell to Anastasyia Ageychic 6-3, 7-5, but Joelle Tanaka defeated Stephanie Bigom 7-6, 6-2 to get the Lady Swords on the board. The Sea Warriors took over in singles from there, winning at #3, #4, #5 and #6 singles. Doubles proved to be very competitive, but the pair of Takara and Audrey DeVincent fell to Ageychic and Bigom 8-5. Second doubles went to HPU as well.
