Sword Tennis Overtaken by BYUH

Feb. 10, 2004

Laie, HI - The Chaminade University tennis team lost today to nationally ranked BYU-Hawaii. The Seasiders, defending NCAA Division II national champions, swept the Swords 9-0 on both the men's and women's sides.

Chaminade's #1 player Eddie Acuna put a scare into BYUH's Jan Krejci by winning the first set of their match 7-5 before Krejci rallied to a 3-set win. Krejci is currently the second ranked player in the nation for Division II singles play.

The Swords are set to face BYU-Hawaii again on February 23rd in Laie.
