Head Golf Coach Thomas Hines
 
 
CU Names Golf Coach

Honolulu, HI - Chaminade University Athletic Director, Aaron Griess, announced today that Thomas Hines has been hired to coach the men's and women's golf teams at Chaminade. Hines' resume includes more than 24 years as a golf instructor, twelve years at Turtle Bay, five at Eva Beach International and three years at Hawaii Prince Golf Club. He is currently the assistant golf professional at Kapolei Golf Course. Hines has also coached at the high school level, most recently at Waianae High School in 2003. As a player, Hines qualified for the Sony Open in 1999 & 2001, was the Aloha PGA 4-Ball Champion in 1993, 1995 & 2000 and twice qualified as a PGA Club Professional (1998, 1999). With the addition of the golf program, Chaminade will sponsor 10 intercollegiate athletic teams at the NCAA division II level. The university currently offers men's sports in basketball, cross country, tennis and water polo. Women's sports at CU include volleyball, softball, cross country, and tennis.
