Moore Excelling In Toronto

Brittany Moore Helped Summer League Team To Three Wins

June 4, 2007

TORONTO, Canada-- Carson-Newman midfielder Brittany Moore has established herself as one of the top players in the United Soccer League with the Toronto Lady Lynx this summer.

In a 6-0 win over the Hamilton Lady Avalanche, a Moore cross set up the first score for the Lynx. Moore added a goal of her own in the 43rd minute when she tucked a low cross from teammate Tina Romagnuolo just inside the left post for a three-nil Lady Lynx lead. A Moore corner kick set a team assist record and capped a four-goal scoring effort for the Lynx in the first half. The assist was her third of the afternoon, a new team record.

In a 3-0 win over the Vermont Lady Voltage, Moore assisted the first two Lynx goals in the 7th and 22nd minutes, respectively, while scoring the first goal in a 2-0 victory over the Rochester Rhinos.

Moore earned first team All-South Atlantic Conference honors as the Lady Eagles won the regular season and tournament titles in 2006. The rising junior midfielder had four goals and four assists in 21 games for C-N last season.
