March 30, 2007 MORROW, GA-- Carson-Newman made just 13 field goals and shot a mere 20% for the game as Clayton State ended the Lady Eagles' 2006-2007 season with a 60-36 win. C-N (21-10) managed just 14 points in the first half on 6-of-26 shooting from the field and only one player, Tashea Ledbetter, scored in double figures. LedBetter led C-N with 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field and Shari Buford grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Carson-Newman in that category. Clayton State's Sharon Wilds and Roberta Phillips scored 10 points apiece to lead the Lady Lakers. C-N tied the game early in the first half on Cassie Burks' three-pointer at 7-7; however, that would be the only three-point field goal the Lady Eagles made the entire game as Clayton State held the Lady Eagles to 5.6% from beyond the arc on one-of-18 shooting. Clayton State proceeded to go on a 20-5 run to lead 27-12 midway through the first half and never trailed the rest of the game. Tykira McDaniel scored eight points and Buford added seven for the Lady Eagles. Casha Foster led C-N with three assists in the game.
