Why I chose Cal: Attending the University of California, Berkeley has been a goal of mine since I was young. I remember the day I started playing travel ball my coach and inspiration, Chris Facione (who also attended Cal), told me that he was going to help me achieve this dream of mine. I grew up hearing stories about Cal and how great it was to not only go to school with amazing athletes but also meet very intelligent individuals. When I came on my visit to Berkeley I knew, the moment I walked down Telegraph, that this is where I belonged. Receiving the opportunity to attend Cal and play softball for the Golden Bears is something that I have been working for my entire life. Now, I am excited to continue reaching for goals, not only as a team, but as a family.
