Katie Oakes off the Pitch:

Full Name: Kathleen Marie Oakes

Nickname(s): Oaksie, Damas

I Chose Cal because...who wouldn't?

My favorite things about the Bay Area are...the food, the people and San Francisco.

Something on my iPod that might surprise you is...Coldplay.

Most interesting thing I did this summer was...go to Italy and re-decorate my home.

When I'm upset, I like to...go to Bikram yoga.

I get mad when I miss this TV show: VH1's "Charm School"

The best moment in sports history was...going to hockey games with my dad.

Cal is better than other schools because...it develops individuals into better human beings and professionals, if they want it to.

Something I learned from my parents is...I better "figure it out..."

If I wasn't a soccer player, I would be...an art therapist, yoga instructor, hair stylist, chef, book illustrator, clothing designer and/or interior decorator.

What is one thing about your hometown that you miss? My family, the beach and sushi restaurants

Which words of phrases do you overuse? Homer Simpson's use of "doh!"

The Gold Standard
