Sanchez begins her third season at Cal after spending one season at Chattanooga (Tenn.) As a sophomore in 2002-03: Competed in 27 games and earned four starts early in the season...contributed 2.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game...enjoyed her best game Dec. 21 at Saint Mary's, tallying season highs for points (10) and rebounds (7), and adding an assist in a career-best 29 minutes of playing time...also had 10 points in a home win vs. Arizona State Dec. 29...drained eight points in her first game as a Bear in the team's win over Syracuse Nov. 29...posted five or more points in five games...one of only three players on the team with a positive assist/TO ratio (1.08)...grabbed a season-high seven boards in three games, including leading the Bears in that category vs. the Gaels...averaged 11 minutes per game but saw at least 18 minutes six times.

As a freshman in 2001-02 at Chattanooga State: Named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Eastern Division team...helped the Tigers to the 2002 NJCAA Final Four by averaging approximately 12 points and nine rebounds per game...lost to Northeast Oklahoma in the semis to finish the season with a 29-5 record...grabbed the rebound that led to the game-winning three-point buzzer beater, which propelled her team into the Final Four.
