As a Freshman in 1999-00: Wethers had 18 starts on the season, second among Cal's freshmen ... did not score in the TCU opener, then had 11 points the next game vs. Houston ... rated third on the squad in assists with 56 ... had a double-double against Arizona State at home with 16 points and 10 rebounds, both personal highs ... also grabbed seven rebounds vs. Arizona Jan. 6 and had six more against both Oregon and Stanford ... scored 12 points to go with six rebounds and two assists in the home opener against Pacific ... dished out a season-best five assists vs. Davidson and had at least three assists seven times, including three against Long Beach State in the first round of the NIT ... started the first six games of the year, then had six consecutive starts from Jan. 2 through Jan. 19 ... in front of three busloads of fans from Murietta who drove up to see him play at USC Feb. 3, came off the bench for eight points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
