AS A JUNIOR IN 2002-03: Tolbert posted a 22-5.75 in the long jump during the indoor season.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2001-02: Held Cal's fourth-best mark of the season in the long jump (23-9.5), set at the UCLA Triangular...won the long jump (22-8) at the UC Davis Quadrangular...finished second in the long jump (23-1.75) at the Big Meet and third in the event (21-2) at the Cal Open...also notched three fourth-place finishes in the long jump at the Brutus Hamilton Memorial Invitational (22-1.75), Stanford Invitational (23-7.5) and Mt. SAC Relays (22-3.75).

WEST VALLEY COLLEGE IN 2000-01: Attended West Valley College in San Jose for two years but only competed one year on the track and field team... selected Most Valuable Field Athlete at West Valley.

HIGH SCHOOL: Won the 2001 conference title in the triple jump as a senior at Silver Creek HS...posted a long jump PR of 24-5...also was a two-year member of the badminton team and three-year member of the basketball team...first team all-league basketball player.

PERSONAL: Jeremiah Irvin Tolbert, II, was born Jan. 4, 1981, in San Jose, CA...parents are Jeremiah and Beverly...is the third oldest of eight children...helped raise his youngest three siblings...architecture major.
