Junior (2007): Captured both the NCAA indoor and outdoor 800-meter titles...her school-record 1:59.29 at the NCAA outdoor meet not only set a school record, but was the third fastest in collegiate history...previously broke the school record in the 800 at the California Collegiate Challenge, posting a time of 2:01.48 to break Louise Romo's 23-year-old mark...secured her indoor 800 title with an indoor school-record time of 2:03.47...also captured the indoor school record in the 400 with a time of 54.48 at the Dan DeHart Invitational...named the Pac-10 Women's Track Athlete of the Year...currently a five-time All-American...also won the 2007 USA Outdoor Championship in the 800 (1:59.47) to qualify for the Pan American Games and the World Championships...won the 800-meter title at the Pac-10 championships and the NCAA West Regional...a member of Cal's 4x400-meter relay that finished in 18th at the NCAA championships, and the time ranks that quartet (Kandi Bonty, Mackenzie Pierce, Brook Turner and Johnson) third on Cal's all-time list...anchored Cal's third-place 4x400-meter relay (3:36.62) at the NCAA West Regional...ran a regional-qualifying 54.43 to win the 400 at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational...anchored Cal's fastest and regional-qualifying 4x400-meter relay that set a school-record 3:35.46 to win at the California Collegiate Challenge.
Sophomore (2006): Johnson had a spectacular second season, culminating in a third-place finish and All-America honors in the 800 meters at the NCAA championships in a then lifetime-best time of 2:03.04...she actually set three PRs in the 800 during NCAAs, running a 2:05.10 when she won the preliminary race and then a 2:04.76 in the semifinal...Johnson set another new PR, and Cal's second-fastest time ever, when she took fourth in the 800 with a time of 2:01.80 at the 2006 USA Outdoor Championships...also last summer, she ran a 2:03.87 to win the 800 at the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 championships in the Dominican Republic...she ran a 2:06.85 to take second place in the 800 at Pac-10 championships...ran on Cal's 4x400-meter relay team that took fourth (3:38.56) at Pac-10s...ran a lifetime-best time of 53.01 in the 400 at the Big Meet...during the indoor season, she earned All-America honors when she took third in the 800 at NCAAs with a time of 2:06.42...in a prelim heat at NCAAs, she ran a lifetime-best 2:05.49 to set a new indoor record for Cal...Johnson had previously set Cal's indoor record in the 800 by taking second in 2:05.53 at the MPSF championships.
Freshman (2005): NCAA All-American in the 800 meters...Johnson had a team-high 400-meter time of 54.08 set at the Big Meet, which placed her eighth on Cal's all-time top 10 list...had the team's second-best 800-meter time of 2:05.49 at the NCAA championships. Cross Country: In 2007, competed in the Pac-10 championships and the NCAA West Regional...did not see action in 2006...in the 2005 season, had a season-best time of 18:38.30 at the Aggie Open...finished 76th (24:25) at the 2005 Pac-10 championships...redshirted 2004.
High School: a 2004 graduate of Canyon High School...the California state champion in the 800...had a PR of 2:08.97 in the 800 when she entered Cal...Santa Clarita Valley Athlete of the Year in 2004...lettered in cross country and soccer.
