Sophomore (2007): Honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic selection...in the heptathlon in the Pac-10 Multi-Event championships, finished with 4972 points...in the conference meet, PRed in the 800 meters (2:29.48) and shot put (37-4.5 (11.39m)...in the Aggie Open, notched a time of 14.87 (14.67) at the Aggie Open...also in the Aggie Open, garnered a mark of 116-3 (35.43m) in the javelin...recorded 5-7.75 (1.72m) mark in the high jump at Pac-10s...in the Big Meet, earned a mark of 18-1.50 (5.52m) in the long jump.
Freshman (2006): Scored a lifetime-best 5034 points in the heptathlon to take seventh at the Pac-10 Multi-Events championships...tallied 3679 points to take eighth in the pentathlon at the MPSF Indoor championships...named MPSF Academic All-Conference...an honorable mention Pac-10 All-Academic selection. 2005: Redshirted the outdoor season...placed third in the heptathlon at the USATF Junior Nationals.USATF Junior All-American.

Personal: Born in Los Angeles...won the Adidas Forever Sports Championship in Sydney, Australia, in 2000 at age 14 after being selected through an essay contest to compete in a youth pentathlon at the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials...parents are Peter and Agnes Grimes...father was one of Cal's all-time greats in the hurdles...American studies major.
