C-USA Goes 2-1 In NCAA Volleyball First Round Action

Cincinnati and Louisville were victorious in the first round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament on Nov. 30. The Bearcats had four players post double figure kills en route to a 3-0 win over Xavier at St. John Arena in Columbus, Ohio. This marks the Bearcats' first win in four tournament trips and advances them to play No. 12 Ohio State on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. EST.

Louisville downed Georgia Tech, 3-2 on Nov. 30 in Louisville. The Cardinals were led by Sonja Percan (24 kills) and Anastasia Zaitseva (16 kills and 23 digs). Setter Jing Ding had a triple double with 11 kills, 59 assists and 18 digs. The Cardinals advance to play No. 14 Pacific on Dec. 1 at 4 p.m.

DePaul suffered a 3-0 loss to Minnesota in the first round in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Senior Stephanie Bishop had nine kills and six digs to lead the Blue Demons.
