Senior Jennifer Wittenburg earned her second consecutive C-USA Volleyball Player of the Week honor, after posting back-to-back 37-kill performances to lead Houston to a 2-1 record last week and the No. 4 seed in the Healthy Choice C-USA Volleyball Tournament.
JENNIFER WITTENBURG, OH, Houston
Senior JENNIFER WITTENBURG of Houston is the Conference USA Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 11. Wittenburg posted back-to-back 37-kill performances to lead the Cougars to a 2-1 record last week and the No. 4 seed in the C-USA Tournament. Against DePaul, Wittenburg tied UH’s seven-year record with 37 kills in only four games, while also adding 14 digs, two blocks and two service aces. She then would blast another 37 kills and 15 digs in a 3-0 win against Marquette, recording her fifth consecutive double-double performance and team-best 17th of the season. She averaged 8.33 kills and 3.92 digs per game, while posting a .343 attack percentage for the week.
