Memphis' Hamilton Is Sept. 10 C-USA Volleyball Player of the Week

Amie Hamilton of Memphis is the Conference USA Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 9. Hamilton picked up her second tournament MVP honor this season after leading Memphis to a 4-0 finish and a championship title in the Kent State Tournament this past weekend. Hamilton was Memphis’ best all-around player, leading the squad both offensively and defensively. She powered the offense with 172 assists for an average of 43 assists per match and an 11.5 assist average per game. She also recorded a .364 hitting mark as a setter and her top-spin jump serve proved to be a dominating factor again this week as she totaled 15 service aces in four matches. Defensively, Hamilton tallied 49 digs, including a match-high 24 digs in the championship game against Kent State.
