Volleyball Signs Elizabeth Herman To National Letter of Intent
April 13, 2007 HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall head volleyball coach Mitch Jacobs announced the signing of Elizabeth Herman of Dunwoody, Ga., to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. Herman will be eligible to compete for the Thundering Herd in the fall of 2007. Herman joins setter Elizabeth Fleming of Adams High School in South Bend, Ind., and middle blocker Kelley Bugler of St. Thomas Aquinas in Overland Park, Kansas, in this year's signing class. "Elizabeth gives us another physical outside hitter," said Jacobs. "She's a dynamic athlete, and our fans will enjoy how hard she hits the ball. She'll be an exciting player for us in the next few years, and we're thrilled to have her join our program." Herman will graduate from Dunwoody High School this spring after a prolific high school volleyball career. She was her team's captain this season, and was first in DeKalb County in kills in 2006. She was a pre-season all-state team member, and was the Region 5AAA Tournament MVP this postseason. She was also only one of 24 players in the state of Georgia named to the Senior All-Star team. Herman is the daughter of Melinda and Dennis Herman. ###
