Charlotte Volleyball Player Danielle Miller Dies in Auto Accident

Three Charlotte 49ers volleyball players were among four individuals that were involved in a one-car accident, Friday morning, in which one 49er player, sophomore Danielle Miller (Woodstock, Ill.) died. The accident occured at approximately 8:00 a.m., outside of Tampa, Fla.

Two individuals, including 49er junior Holly Kreyling and a friend who is identified as not being a student or athlete at UNC Charlotte, walked away from the accident. Those two were taken to the Leesburg Regional Medical Center emergency room. A third individual, 49er freshman Millicent Martin (Houston, Texas), was airlifted to Orlando and is not believed to have life-threatening injuries. The individuals were vacationing in the area and were not participating in athletics related events.
