PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Marshall's Kellie Schmitt and Karolina Soor completed play in the 23rd Annual Riviera Women's All-American Tennis Championship Presented by Fila on Wednesday.

The No. 64 nationally-ranked player, Whitney McCray of Georgia Tech defeats Marshall's Schmitt, 6-4, 6-4, in the singles qualifying third round. "Kellie played hard in a good match against a tough opponent," Marshall head coach John Mercer says.

The Herd's duo of Schmitt/Soor completed action with a loss to Northwestern's pair of Liu/Murray, 8-5, in the doubles qualifying second round play.

Marshall's Yulia Kashelkina and Jessica Keener will represent the women's tennis team in the Hokie Invitational at Virginia Tech starting Friday, Oct. 5 and concludes Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Burrows/Burleson Tennis Center in Blacksburg, Va.
