HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- - The Southern Miss women's tennis team completed its second day, hosting the Lady Eagle Fall Classic by recording 15 combined wins in singles and doubles competition.

Sherry Price (1-2) posted a win over Florina Nosca (Nicholls), 7-5, 6-4; lost to Andrea Martinez (LU), 6-2, 6-3 and Maria Oprea (ASU), 7-6, 4-6, 10-7. Ali Blackett (1-1) had a win over Anne-Claire Mullier (Nicholls), 6-3, 6-2 and a loss to Mariaryeni Gutierrez (LU), 6-1, 6-0.

Stephanie Dellocono (2-1) posted wins over Natalia Zamora (Nicholls), 6-1, 6-2 and Paula Chelminska (ASU), 7-6, 6-3; lost to Mariantonieth Gutierrez (LU), 6-2, 5-7, 10-4.

Zoe Lee (1-2) topped Sanja Stanojcic (Nicholls), 6-2, 6-2; lost to Salina Aranda (LU), 6-1, 6-0 and Nina Knavs (SLU), 7-5, 6-1.

Brittany Serret (2-1) had wins over Samana Kalyansundram (Nicholls), 6-1, 6-2 and Manami Kurode (LU), 6-4, 6-4; lost to Rone van Wyk (ASU), 6-4, 2-6, 10-4.

Lauren Gutterman (2-1) posted wins over Maja Bradonjic (Nicholls), 6-2, 6-2, and Anahita Jagtiani (LU), 4-6, 6-2, 11-9.

Shannon Rogers (1-1) knocked off Leydi Zora (ASU), 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 and lost to Nina Knavs (SLU), 7-5, 6-3.

Cher Newman lost to Maja Bradonjic (SLU), 6-0, 6-2. Natalia Parrado (0-2) lost to Anahita Jagtiani (LU), 6-1, 6-0 and Bradonjic (SLU), 7-6, 3-6, 10-2.

In doubles, Price and Serret (1-1) defeated Van Wyk and Branker (ASU), 8-6, but lost to Nina Knavs and Breda Kovac (SLU), 8-6. Blackett and Rogers (2-0) defeated Emilija Arnudovska and Iva Velkovska (SLU), 8-5, and Seden Soyalp and Jenny Cape (UAB), 9-8 (3).

Dellonoco and Lee defeated Bonnie Phillips and Jana Simurkova (SLU), 8-5, then, Dellocono and Gutterman defeated Gulsah Esen and Antonia Nugent (UAB), 9-8. Lee and Parrado (0-1) lost to Maria Oprea and Paula Chelminska (ASU), 8-0.

Southern Miss returns to action on Sunday for the final day of the Lady Eagle Fall Classic. All the teams will compete in doubles only.
