East Carolina's Diane Parker earned C-USA Swimmer of the Week honors after posting provisional times in the 100 and 200 butterfly events; Houston's Azul Almazan claimed C-USA Diver of the Week accolades. She won the platform competition at the UH Fall Invitational.


Swimmer of the Week
Diane Parker (Jr. – Lexington Park, Md.) – East Carolina
Parker won the 200-yard individual medley with a provisional qualifying time of 2:02.37 at the Nike Cup last weekend. She also finished second in the 100 butterfly (54.66) and fourth in the 200 butterfly (2:01.87). The ECU women finished in eighth-place out of 10 teams scoring 200 points.

Diver of the Week
Azul Almazan (So. – Mexico City, Mexico) – Houston
Almazan was the Cougars’ leading diver during the UH Cougar Invitational and accounted for 52 of the team’s points. She capped the diving events by winning the platform competition. She led all divers with 440.15 points in the platform preliminaries and improved that score in the finals with 468.15 points. She finished more than 20 points ahead of teammate Anna Keiss on the platform. She also earned a second-place finish in the three-meter event with 503.20 points.
