East Carolina's Diane Parker earned C-USA Swimmer of the Week after capturing two individual first place finishes last weekend; For the third time this season, Kelly Seely of TCU, who swept the springboard events against North Texas, won the diving weekly award.
Swimmer of the Week Diane Parker (Jr. – Lexington Park, Md.) – East Carolina Parker paced ECU by winning the 200-yard individual medley (2:04.75) and 100 freestyle (53.03) events in tri-meet action against Duke and George Washington last weekend. Parker’s time of 2:04.75 in the IM is a conference-best, while her 100 freestyle mark ranks third in the league. Parker also swam the third leg of the victorious 400-medley relay (3:53.85). She has garnered six individual first-place finishes in the past three outings for the Pirates.
Diver of the Week Kelly Seely (So. – Friendswood, Texas) – TCU Seely swept the springboard events to help the Horned Frogs capture a 139-102 win over North Texas last weekend. She notched a top-mark of 177.85 on the one-meter springboard, while recording a score of 242.00 on the three-meter. She also claimed two second-place finishes against UL-Monroe and Centenary.
