SWIMMER OF THE WEEK (11/16)
Sophomore Erica Tate earns her first 2004 weekly accolade as she was named Conference USA Swimmer of the Week following a pair of wins over the weekend to boost the Horned Frogs to a perfect 7-0 on the season. Including Tate’s two individual titles, TCU posted the top times in 12 of the 16 events in the dual-meet victory over North Texas and Incarnate Word last Saturday.

Tate won two individual events and was a member of both winning relays that led the Frogs to the dual-meet victory. In the opening event of the day, the sophomore and anchor of the relay team joined teammates Aimee Moreau, Tiffany Strawn and Leann Cathcart to win the 200-medley relay event with a time of 1:49.49, which was nearly four seconds ahead of North Texas’ second-place team. Tate garnered two individual wins in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.78, which is the fastest time in the season for C-USA swimmers. Tate also won the100-yard butterfly event finishing more than four seconds ahead of her closest competitor (57.24).

DIVERS OF THE WEEK (11/16)
Kelly Seely of TCU shares her first conference honor with Louisville’s Marianne Bradford as the two were named Co-Divers of the Week. Seely helped her team improve to an impressive 7-0 on the early season, while Bradford picked up two individual awards to push the Cards past West Virginia last Friday.

Junior, Friendswood, Texas (Cleer Brook)

Seely swept the one and three-meter diving events last week in a dual meet against in-state rival North Texas and Incarnate Word. In her first collegiate event this season, the junior claimed the one-meter springboard event with a score of 230.63 points, which was 28 points higher than the second place finisher. Seely also tabbed her second 2004 title as she scored 233.70 points in the three-meter event.

Marianne Bradford, Louisville
Sophomore, Greenwood, Ind. (Roncalli)

Bradford picked up two individual titles as she won both springboard events for the week. The sophomore scored 52 points more than the second-place finisher in the three-meter board with a score of 287.55. In the one-meter board Bradford tallied 14 points more than her closest opponent with a score of 287.55. The two titles helped the Cardinals claim the victory over West Virginia, 122-115.
