IRVING, Texas - SMU sweeps this week's Conference USA Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards after a strong showing in its dual meet with North Texas on Friday. Junior Jennifer Blackman notched three first-place finishes to help guide the Mustangs to the 197-137 win and, for her efforts, took home the swimming award. Teammate Kristin Schild dominated in the diving events, taking wins on both boards and claims the diving honor.

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK (11/14)
Jennifer Blackman - SMU
Jr., Dallas, Texas (Highland Park)

Blackman notched three first-place finishes to help guide the Mustangs to a 193-137 win over North Texas this weekend. She swam a career-best time of 24.66 for the gold in the 50 free and then turned around in the very next event to touch the wall two seconds faster than the runner-up with a time of 52.02 in the 100 free. She was the second leg of the first-place 200 free relay that combined for a time of 1:36.65. The relay team finished three seconds faster than the other teams.

DIVER OF THE WEEK (11/14)
Kristin Schild - SMU
Sr., Barrington, Ill. (Barrington)

Schild dominated in the diving events, taking wins on both boards. The senior scored a mark of 277.8 on the one-meter diving board. On the three-meter, she marked a score of 297.00. On both boards, she scored 75 points or more than her competition.
