Swimmer of the Week Diane Parker (So. –Tucker, Ga.) – East Carolina Parker captured four first-place finishes last week to lead the Pirates in victories over Davidson and College of Charleston. She earned first-place showings in the 200 butterfly (2:05.53) and 200 freestyle (1:54.55) versus Davidson. Parker then placed first in the 100-yard butterfly (56.68) and 100 breaststroke (1:05.52) against College of Charleston. Diver of the Week Yulia Pakhalina (Sr. – Penza, Russia.) – Houston Pakhalina captured first place in the three-meter diving event at the Tennessee Diving Invitational. She collected 332.85 points to finish ahead of 13 total competitors from Miami (Fla.), Houston, Tennessee and Ohio State on the three-meter springboard. It also marked her 23rd consecutive win in this event. She finished second in the one-meter event with 323.30 points, less than six points behind first-place Katie Beth Bryant of Miami.
