SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Freshman Sarah Dicharry of Tulane was named Conference USA Swimmer of the Week following the Green Wave's sweep over cross-town foe New Orleans and SEC opponent Arkansas last weekend. In the meet, Tulane's freshmen accounted for three of the six individual wins and three were part of the meet champion 400-yard freestyle relay team.

Dicharry posted a pair of wins against UNO and Arkansas, setting school records in each event. The three-year letterwinner from St. Joseph's Academy, won the 200-yard freestyle event by over three seconds tabbing her lifetime-best time of 1:52.47. Dicharry anchored the 400-yard freesytle relay, which won by over six seconds in the final event of the meet to give Tulane the victory. Dicharry also finished third in the 100-yard freestyle with a career-best time of 52.86, which was just six-tenths of a second out of first place.
DIVER OF THE WEEK
Anna Kiess earned her third career C-USA weekly award and second consecutive honor of the season as she was named conference Diver of the Week for the period ending Nov. 2. The impressive sophomore, who qualified for the 2004 NCAA Championships as a true freshman, continued to show her dominant force as she won her fifth and sixth diving events of the 2004 season.
Anna Kiess, Houston
Sophomore, Berlin, Germany (Coubertin Gymnasium)
Kiess swept both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events against league opponent TCU last week. She set a new Campus Recreation & Wellness Center Natatorium record and personal career high with 315.38 points on the 1-meter board. Kiess was the only diver to score more than 300 points in any diving event against the Horned Frogs. The Cougars fell 140-156 to the league opponent despite Kiess' strong performance.
