IRVING, Texas - SMU's Anja Carman takes this week's Conference USA Swimmer of the Week award after capturing three first-place finishes and leading her team to the SMU Women's Swim Classic title. The No. 8 Mustangs scored 327 points to defeat No. 14 Florida St., No. 13 Wisconsin, Alabama, Virginia Tech and LSU. East Carolina's Christie Icenhower claims Diver of the Week honors after she placed first on both the one-meter and three-meter boards in a tri-meet with College of Charleston and Gardner-Webb.

ANJA CARMAN - SMU

Carman captured three first-place honors this past weekend en route to helping the team capture the SMU Women's Swim Classic title. She edged top-ranked Romy Altmann of Florida St. for first-place in the 100 back with a time of 56.28 and swam the fourth leg of the first-place 800 free relay team that clocked in almost six second faster than the second-place team. The junior took second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:23.32 and added points for the Mustangs in the 500 free as she swam in the consolation finals, taking first in her heat with a time of 4:52.48. Carman turned right around to take gold in the 200 back with a time of 1:59.33. The No. 8 Mustangs scored 327 points to defeat No. 14 Florida St., No. 13 Wisconsin, Alabama, Virginia Tech and LSU.
DIVER OF THE WEEK (10/24)
CHRISTIE ICENHOWER - East Carolina
Jr., Lawrenceville, N.J. (Lawrenceville)
Icenhower placed first on both the one-meter (277.80) and three-meter (258.68) boards in a tri-meet with College of Charleston and Gardner-Webb. The junior also won on both boards in the Pirates' prior dual meet this season.
