    Cincinnati's Marien de Jong earns her second C-USA Swimmer of the Week honor of the season, while Houston's Yulia Pakhalina claims the Diver of the Week award, after claiming the one-meter and two-meter springboard events against Texas A.

    2001-02 CONFERENCE USA WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING

    Swimmer of the Week
    Marien de Jong (Sr. - Bussum, Netherlands) - Cincinnati
    DeJong captured first-place honors in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle events against Kentucky and Indiana last weekend. In addition, she helped the 400 medley relay to a third-place finish in the 400 medley relay (3:55.51). She currently holds the conference's top times in the 50 (23.58) and 100 freestyle (51.41).

    Diver of the Week
    Yulia Pakhalina (So. - Moscow, Russia) - Houston
    Pakhalina claimed first place on both the one and three-meter springboard events against Texas A last weekend. She ran her consecutive-event win streak to 31 straight meets and has never lost a collegiate diving event in which she has entered this season.
